iBooter -- An interactive Apple Bootloader (iBoot) Console for the iPhone and iTouch. Support for WinXP/Linux/MacOSX 10.5.2
Update 05/12/08
So we are still working away on Linux. Good news is that we are trying to completely replace
iBoot and put in our own bootloader. But here is Something funny for you
a message i found in the latest beta's lockdownd file
aThisMilkSmells DCB "This milk smells bad. Let's taste it.",0
Update 4/25/08
So the latest release of 2.0 BETA (5A258f) has introduced a new format for signing of firmware files. Say good bye to 8900 and Img2 and say hello to Img3.
I haven't completely reversed the structure. It does seem to be some what similar to Img2. But i did make some progress. It seems they use a new WTF file in the firmware which is encrypted with
standard 8900 to bootstrap the new format. I built a unpacker for it but for now i'm not able to resign the images.
Update 4/14/08
I have posted the iBooter 1.0 lib source code. This will give you everything you need to build your own app with out using itunes
Sorry if there is still some bugs. I have been caught up working on winpwn and haven't had time to test it. I had some people
asking for it and decided to release it anyway. I will update it in the next few weeks. Enjoy!
